I grew up in Ringgold, Georgia and graduated from Dalton High School.  While in high school, I was very fortunate to have a number of excellent coaches that helped shape me into the person I am today.  They helped me improve as a player but they also taught me valuable lessons in accountability, hard work, consistency, empathy, and numerous other skills I still use to this day.  With such a positive experience, I knew I wanted to be a football coach and have the same impact my coaches had on me.

With this vision, I attended Kennesaw State University and graduated with a degree in History Education.  I began my coaching journey while at KSU.  I volunteered and coached the running backs for Mount Paran Christians high school team while serving as the 8th grade offensive coordinator.  The art of coaching was new to me. I coached 2 practices a day and coached multiple games each week.  I knew after that season, this is what I am meant to do.

After graduating from college, I began working as a teacher and a football coach in Northwest Georgia.  I have coached at Dalton High School, Ringgold High School, and Lafayette High School in Northwest Georgia.  As I progressed and continued to learn, my next goal was to become an offensive coordinator.  I accepted a position at East Hamilton High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. During my four years calling plays at East Hamilton, we broke many school records and reshaped that program.  It was one of the most rewarding coaching jobs I have experienced to date. I returned to Georgia when I accepted the offensive coordinator job at Allatoona High School in Acworth, Georgia where we get to compete weekly with some of the best programs and coaches in the state of Georgia.

I have been very fortunate to work with outstanding coaches and talented student-athletes. We have won many games, competed in the state playoffs, and helped many players continue their playing careers at the next level.  The success is wonderful but the lasting impact I have made on my players is the ultimate reward.  Seeing former players become husbands, fathers, and even coaches themselves has shown a much bigger purpose than just wins and loses.

My goal is to align a program that continues to develop our players into adults while fielding an elite football program.  I believe the skills and characteristics to achieve both goals overlap in a way that provides us with the opportunity to impact students and make a positive, lasting impact in their lives.
